Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information CricketHub™.IO (“we”, “us”) collects when you use crickethub.io and the installable CricketHub™ web app, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form. You may also give us a favourite team and a city, both optional, and choose a preferred language.

Activity in the app: your predictions, league memberships, poll and quiz answers, points, badges and notification preferences.

Chat: messages and reactions you post in fan chat rooms. Chat is public to other users of that room.

Questions you type into the cricket assistant, and any messages you send us directly.

We collect basic usage information so we can run and improve the app: an anonymous session identifier, the pages and matches you view, your general device type (for example mobile or desktop), your language, the site or campaign link that brought you here, and timestamps. We do not collect your precise location.

Your IP address is processed temporarily to deliver the site, protect against abuse and apply rate limits.

We use cookies and browser storage for: remembering your language, keeping you signed in, our anonymous usage session, and making the installable app load quickly. Advertising cookies are described in the next section.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in and some features from working.

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

To run the app: create and secure accounts, record and score predictions, show leaderboards, and operate chat and leagues.

To send notifications you have switched on, and emails such as verification codes and password resets.

To moderate chat, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.

To understand how the app is used and to improve it, and to show advertising.

To respond to you and to meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers described below, when the law requires it, or as part of a business transfer.

Some information is public by design: your display name, points, rank and chat messages can be seen by other users.

Hosting and delivery: Vercel. Database: Supabase. Caching and rate limiting: Upstash. Real-time chat delivery: Pusher. Email delivery: Resend. Bot protection on sign-up: hCaptcha. Advertising: Google AdSense. Cricket assistant answers: Anthropic, which receives the question you type in order to generate a reply.

These providers process information on our behalf and under their own privacy terms.

Push notifications are optional and only start after you allow them in your browser. You can turn them off at any time in Settings in the app or in your browser settings.

We keep your account information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal information by emailing us. We may keep limited records where needed for security, moderation or legal reasons.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email us at the address below. You can also opt out of personalised ads as described above.

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, rate limiting and access controls to protect your information. No online service can be completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CricketHub™ is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
